This is certainly one of the options. If Copley is the odd man out, GMBM may not find a suitor for him in the trade market, but we can try to pass him through waivers and see if we can keep him in Hershey.

I still don’t understand that panik signing, that really block the way for prospect, to me I’m sure he will be traded next summer because they will have prospect and will need that cap soace

If that's the case and they do have prospects ready to play in that spot next year then they'll just trade him, but those prospects are not ready this year and might not even be ready next year

I could see leason next year easily if he don’t duck up

I think Leason could play next year too, but I think it's real wishful thinking to project him as being better than Panik in his first pro season. I'm not putting Panik on a pedestal or anything, I'm just saying it's good to have him around while we don't fully know what our forward prospects are gonna look like at the NHL level. If Leason turns out to be better than Panik, then trade Panik, but until then Washington is better off having him around.

I don't see the Panik signing as blocking any of the prospects. If Leason is ready next year (which I doubt), you can always move the lineup around like this:

Ovechkin - Kuznetsov - Wilson
Vrana - Backstrom - Oshie
Panik - Eller - Leason
Hagelin - Dowd - Boyd/Gersich/whoever else is NHL 4th line ready
