I would assume with a trade, even with the proposed trade here if it were to happen this offseason leafs could sign Mitch at 11m x6... I sure hope they do better than that. The more I think about it the more sense a bridge deal makes for Mitch. Prove he can be a 100 point player. Might all be for not after the cap rises. a 9.5m deal right now could be close to 11m percentage wise in 3 years.

I did some mock AGMs for next year as well, and I just assumed Mikheyev’s production would be at about Kapanen, at best. ??‍♂️ So I tacked him with a 3m cap hit in mine. Better to assume the “worst” in these situations. I’m just projecting his production to be there because it sounds like they’re pairing him with Matthews so he will have every chance to succeed.
