Is this a joke that MTL trade ?
If not, Mtl will trade you a 7th for Alexeyev
Seems just as good for Montreal. How has no one in Canada heard of Dimitry Orlov, yet? Over the last five years, Orlov has one more even strength point than Faulk, Weber, and Trouba (

Last year he averaged 23 minutes a night like Weber and Petry. Not 17 like Mete and Juulsen. Not 21 like Muzzin. Orlov and Niskanen played the most defensive zone starts on the '18 playoff Caps blue line that shut down Panarin, Crosby, Stamkos, and Karlsson. They each finished pretty high up on the playoff lists in hits and shots blocked. Niskanen (turning 33 in December) started slowing down with age last year. Orlov (turned 28 in July) didn't.

I also said if mete seemed too steep swap him for Juulsen and a pick.
Good thinking! Yep. It's not all about Mete. Juulsen could be a fine #6 in WSH. But in the summer, dealing a 1st pick scares a lot of teams. What about prospects, instead? Could that make it more tempting for Montreal?

Danault will be trade because we got too many centers. Kotkaniemi Poehling Suzuki Evans Vejdemo Oloffson Ikonen Hillis we got hundreds of centers.
Great! If Suzuki and Poehling join Danault, Kotkaniemi, Drouin, Domi, Thompson, and Cousins, MTL has eight NHL centers this year.
Montreal might prefer to trade Danault, Evans, and Juulsen for Orlov and a 2nd, and leave Eller out of it entirely. What does Montreal need?
If that works, it lets the Caps listen to other offers on Eller, or just start the season with almost as many good centers as Montreal.
