Description

Does this get you Laine? I think it is fair. Bode Wilde was first round talent that fell to the isles in the second round. In 2-3 years he will definitely be a Top 4 Dman. Bellows will be a good third line power forward who will have potential to be a top 6. Leddy is a good Dman who is just a cap casualty for the islanders. His contract isn't great, but he is great on the powerplay and is still a top 4 man who is tough and stays healthy. I would try to avoid moving wahlstrom and Dobson, but it might be necessary, and if it is one or the other, I'd rather it be Wahlstrom. If you want a NHL ready player, id trade JHS or MDC. MDC is on a very good contract for two years. He can really grow.

You're not getting Dobson AND Pulock, then topping it off with Wahlstrom. That's absolutely ridiculous.

As a Jets fan that's ridiculous for all them. But minimum one of them has to be coming back in the deal. No question about it

Sure, I think that's reasonable to ask. Although I'd push for Bode Wilde+. Wilde is an excellent prospect, almost like getting a 1st round pick from 2018, then adding some more value from the Isles side.

Lou isn't trading Dobson and Wahlstrom. Those were his first 1st round picks with the Islanders and he speaks very, very highly of both of them. Especially Dobson, I mean Lou is in love. I'm also very against trading Pulock. He played so well in the playoffs and looks like a legit top-pairing guy. If we trade him, our defense goes from borderline elite to very good (I'm super high on our current defense).
