If you could do all this (and I know, three people just commented that it doesn't happen) you'd end up having to re-sign Bratt next summer at 5M and having 4M of cap space to make Hall an offer.

So moving a first might seem regrettable, unless you've won a championship in the meantime (maybe a 7% chance with the above line-up?), and Hall stayed healthy to be a part of it (60%). Multiply the probablities together, and there's still a 96% chance you'll regret trading Teravainen and your first.

Faulk is going to leave since they don't have the cap to keep him, then they can contend with that team and can resign Hall at about 10

Hall wont sign for 10. And whats stopping him from leaving for another team? You dont give up Teravainen + 1st (in a strong draft) + 2nd + 3rd + a rental D man for a rental and a decent forward

Carolina will have about 14 ish million maybe more after to re-sign Hall and I feel he'll ask for 10-12

Yes but he could leave if he wants. Just because they have the cap to sign him doesn't mean he wants to sign. It's still way too much to give up for a rental
