Tampa doesn't match. I think this team squeaks into the playoffs? But the East is super-competitive, and you could maybe use an upgrade in net?

And did you seriously give Ristolainen no power play time, to double shift a guy with zero forty point seasons? I'd figure the guy with four in a row has more offense, but I do agree with cutting his minutes back at evens, where he's been overworked, and he's struggled.

Yeah for some reason because Risto had one bad season that means he's bad in all regards, I don't know why people act like he's the worst defenseman on the team

I mean, he's a career -143. But he's played top pair minutes since long before he was ready to try that. In a second pair role, with top power play time, he should be an effective hockey player. Montour can play 22 minutes a night, and Miller is solid at 19. If they each play 20, and just rotate to stay rested, rather than putting RIstolainen out against top competition all the time, they should all be effective.

I get what you mean and im guilty myself of thinking he is terrible more often then he is but i think thats due to a couple things mainly the pressure of being a top 4 in buffalo before he was ready but to be honest at this point in time i still believe he is a third pairing I think he needs a different system to thrive his numbers are brutal in his own end with that in mind he is solid in the offensive zone and dependable there.

Personally I think he can still play top pair minutes, but roll the defensive lines more than we usually do. Having depth does nothing if you don't use it.

Also Point won't accept an offersheet, but damn that first line would be hard to steal the puck from.... maybe point should be the center to eichel doesn't get tossed every other faceoff
