Well I wouldn't say he had an amazing season but it after the first 7-10 games he was good and he was very good in the playoffs so.. either way he is still on the first or second line on the Swedish team..

I suppose I was just generalizing leafs fans, it seems you have been a Nylander guy from the start so fair play to you.
As a Bruins fan ive always liked Nylander and thought he got far too much slack from TO and in the games I did watch, he looked more dynamic than his numbers but regardless I just cant put Nylander in over anyone in the top 9 (MAYBE over Rakell but thats tough)

I would say majority of leafs fans love WIlly because he was the first of the young stars and it's mostly the guys that judge people on points that dislike him and hate that he waited till Dec 1 to get a fair contract . The only forward on this Swedish lineup that is 100% better is EP40 and maybe Backstrom but Willy is a C/RW so even that's tough.

Yeah it was a lot better that people give him credit for and he produced at a top 6 level at 5v5 and better than a lot of guys who most people think are stars. Other than his end of season all situations goal and point totals he had a solid year considering the circumstances

Age has nothing to do with this ... this is about the best players RIGHT NOW.

IMO Backstrom is WAAAAYYY better than Nylander.
