Bruins 2020 cup run

Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Team Explanation
The thought here is that 2 of 6 rookies make the roster to fill it out. those options include: studnicka for 3c, bjork for 1rw, kuhlman for 2/3rw, senyshyn for a rw, cehlarik for a 2nd rw or 3rd l/rw spot, frederic for 3c. I think only way that studnicka or frederic make the roster is if any of the wingers get injured or dont find early chemistry with their lines. This would essentially mean that coyle jumps from 3c to 1st or 2nd rw. I think/hope backes/ritchie are healthy scratches most of the year. Otherwise this is pretty much it for where the bruins will be. I think carlo gets a 1 or 2 year deal around 2.2-2.5m and if its on the higher end, then bjork isnt making the roster and one of cehlarik/studnicka will.

no way carlo signs that, and I dont think youll ever see marchand and berg broken up like that. Bjork playing in the top 6 is a bit of long shot

you say no way carlo signs that... how many people said mcavoy was going to take a 3 year 4.9 aav? find the posts. ill wait. Sweeney said there is enough cap to get a carlo deal done. if its low money its going to be short term. bjork could see a top 6 role, he was originally slated to be the 1st line rw 2 years ago before shoulder surgery ended his season early. they wanted him to rehab and find his game last year in ahl, was about to get called up and had to have another shoulder surgery. Dont see how he doesnt get at least shot there, especially where bergeron and marchand can carry a line in regular season.

well most people thought macavoy would get 6 millionish but some people thought hed get 4 mil or less being a group 1 rfa. if you were carlo would you take 2.5 million, I sure wouldn't. Bjork has to be healthy I think before he gets a chance in the top 6. maybe if he gets crazy in camp but I think hes behind kuhlman on that rw still

If i were carlo and i genuinely liked being a bruin, was on a winning team and understood the championship window and the cap situation, I 100% sign a 1 year 2.2m deal. Backes contract will be moved next offseason, krug may or may not resign, debrusk will get a new contract as well. If carlo goes out and has a great year similar to last it significantly increases his value. He doesnt score enough to warrant a huge salary. Bet on himself to up his scoring totals and having another great year and get rewarded next year. Bjork looks great right now. with the most actual nhl time i think its going to be bjork/kuhlman/cehlarik in that order.

For the record, last Armchair gm i made for bruins i had mcavoy at 2 years 5m. one prior i had him a little lower at 3 years 4m. i was in the right ballpark.

no he doesn't score enough to get 5 or 6 million but be is good enough to get closer to 4 million id say. I kind of disagree that having another solid year gets him significantly more money. Unless he has some kind of scoring touch we haven't seen and somehow gets to 25 pts.

2 years of injuries that cost him significant value in a deal. 4m on a long term deal is equivalent to 1 year 2.2-2.5m... (2.5x2, 3x3, 3.5x4, 4x5, 4.5x6 5x7). He will not get above 3m on a 1 or 2 year deal. it wont happen. ide say 2.5 is likely on a 2 year deal.

You’re right. I said multiple times 3x5.5 was a possibility. Then there was everyone else saying a 1 year deal would cost 6. Sorry
