This is horrible.

Jets aren't going to accept a pile of meh for Laine.. it's about quality not quantity.

And 2x 2nds for Dillon ? LOL Sharks were trying to move in the summer to free up cap space but they couldn't even do that.

Sorry but your Sharks are going into the season with what they have.

1st off it is officially fall and Jets are not accepting that for Laine.

3 prospects, 3rd liner and a 1st in 2 years. Do not think that comes close.

Lol Meier is a much better all-round player. I don't think the sharks want to add Laine and lose Meier. Getting 10 more goals is not worth it because he is a lazy wing who is essentially useless when he can't score.

The underappreciation of Laine on this site is mind boggling

18 years old
Laine 73 GP 36 G 64 pts in the NHL
Meier not in the NHL

19 years old
Laine82 gp 44 g 70 pts
Meier Not in the NHL

20 years old
Laine 82 gp 30 g 50 pts
Meier 34 gp 3 g 6 pts

While Meier wasn't ready to join the NHL at 18 and 19 Laine was second in combined goals league wide with 80 only 2 less than first in the league Ovechkin.

Laine has warts in his game but he is a 20 year old who has put up generational goal scoring thus far in his career.

Before you say it's just goals he was tied for 30th in points. So again while Meier wasnt good enough to make the NHL he was putting up the second most goals in the league and enough points to be the best player on at least two teams in the league.

If just looking at right wingers he was 1st in goals and 8th in points. Again as a teenager while Meier was on junior.

And when Meier finally made the NHL at 20 he only had 3 g and 6 pts in over 30 games so it wasn't like he was ready and not there
