Description

2nd and 3rd lines will likely play similar minutes, but I would think the Anisimov line will match up against tough competition, allowing the Ryan line to play weaker competition and hopefully flex on them offensively. Ennis-Anisimov were great together, and were some of our only good PK guys. Hopefully with Batherson on that line they can find some offensive punch.

The goalie tandem is the worst in the league...¸

30 wins is their ceiling for this season imo

I think that's about right. But those goalies have a tendency to get hot.

Howard is slightly better than Anderson and Nilsson is inconsistent... DET's tandem is slightly better... Buffalo also sucks too

If Nilly can play 40ish games, Andy should do fine. Andy is looking really good coming out of preseason. The tools are still there, he just needs to have his workload managed. Wouldn't be surprised to see Hogberg in as a backup at home games every now and then. Give Andy a few games off.

I disagree, Howard is bottom of the league in starting goalies consistently, how many times has he lost the starting job in Detroit, and hes injury prone. I think Detroit got stuck after they paid Howard and just couldnt justify a 6 mill dollar backup so they kept playing him like Jake allen

Anderson does an every other year thing where hes bottom of the league then top of the league, so it really depends on which year you have him.

I could be wrong, just how it seems

I personally would think that in two years the two will be the tandem (in 2021-22)... after that, we'll keep the better one... I think it'll be Shestyorkin tho

Duclair has been on fire in preseason, and Tierney is super underrated playmaking ability. If they can get in groove, they could be pretty dangerous offensively. Problem is they will be pretty dangerous in the Dzone too.
