If youre gonna pay Gallagher 7.8 mill to be on the 3rd lien you just dont do it. Second of all, youll likely to lose a good player to Seattle

Oh yeah for sure. Gally will get 6.5 yeah. Kotkaniemi is gonna get a bridge out of his ELC like a 3 year at 4-6 mill depending on the cap increases and how his development goes.

No way imo.
They'll go 7 and 3 and and protect: Mete, Weber and Petry. Seattle will choose between Chiarot and Juulsen

Petry is gone by then or will be UFA so no need to protect him.

he's 21 and he plays in the second level of Russian ice hockey ... not even KHL..... very little chance he'll ever make it to the NHL

Mete - Weber - Chiarot most likely to be protected.

Now they can choose between an NHLer who will be 27 by then whom only cost 1,8 millions or a guy who struggled to stay healthy... It's still far, but it might be Kulak. Anyway, in this scenario, both are not there anymore so his line up is ok

Your also operating under the assumption that every single pick prospect and player is going to pan out

NHL entry-level contracts don't start at $2M
and he's a super long shot to ever play in NHL

kinda. caufield, artem and ylonen pan out imo. idk about ikonen. norlinder is already making excellent plays in sweden. struble mcshane could be nhl ready as well. we have a really deep prospect pool
