Neal sucked here I'm not upset you will see when he comes back down to earth he will probably get 20+ goals but the rest is hard to watch lucic isn't what I wanted but not mad. Neal was the worst player on our team last year he needed to be gone.

Lucic will be the worst player on your team this year the fact we got rid of lucic an neal is scoring is awesome if he slows down all good. In fact if he doesnt put anymore points up it's still a win as we can just buy him out for cheap plus he doesnt a nmc we have to honour unlike Calgary

Ive had no issues with that trade tbh, good on Neal for finding a groove again but he had no place in CGY, he was miserable and had zero synergy with out top lines. Lucic on the other hand, i think has been great for us, sure neal has tied his goal record from last year but lucic tied his fights record after 3 games. He was never brought in to score, Flames were 2nd in the league in goals last year and Neal only had 7, we dont need him and his scoring.

Still not a good enough reason to trade for lucic if flames needed a tough guy they could of signed some goon for 800k who likely skates better than lucic plus now you gotta protect him if he doesnt waive his nmc again

I think you miss the point, the Flames want, and still would want absolutely nothing to do with Neal. There is no way he would be playing top 6 in CGY right now and certainly would not have 7 goals. At least Lucic actually does something in our bottom 6 productive for the team. You can say you won the trade all you want but if both teams are happy with the outcome then its called a win-win scenario.

So you're saying youd rather pay lucic 5.5 then neal to... hit people because he fits a bottom 6 role better? I'd rather pay neal 6 in the top 6 then lucic on the 4th line playing 12 mins and being a liability.

I would rather have not signed neal at all. You are missing the point. If I have to choose between overpaying Neal to play bottom 6 and doing nothing and overpaying Lucic to play bottom 6 and do something. Its all a matter of perspective my friend

Weird, its like we tried that all year last year but neal has about as much defensive skill as a pylon so he is horrible in our top 6. Again matter of perspective, next time do even a little research before arguing with "hes better"
