You really think Murray is taking 2M less than Vassy when Murray has 2 cups?
You also think you can run a 20 man roster?

I think murray wont get paid as much as vas, unless he goes out and wins a vezina this season. Hes a great goaltender, up there with one of the best in the league. but since he became a starter he has been inconsistent and that is largely due to injuries. I think with his numbers the last 3 seasons he signs for what helly signed for with jets. But who knows. As for the roster, yeah its gonna be hard and honestly we may need to trade some more players, maybe hornqvist waives his NTC to be picked by seattle in the expansion draft so we clear space to bring some minors players up

If Jarry continues to play like he is, no way he signs for that little. He will get just as much, if not more than DeSmith. Also if you get Hall, he has to play on that top line with Crosby and Guentzel. And Malkin should be in between Tanev and Hornqvist. If Lafferty, Blueger, and ZAR can look good, expect Rust to be someone who is moved too.
I’d expect guys like Bjorkqvist, Hallander, Addison to make that jump next year.

Tbh the pens may just trade jarry, he is increasing his trade value and we cant afford to pay >1M to two backups on the team. Also lines were not my main focus here so sure that can work. Also the only reason i didnt call up anyone other than Lafferty is because Sully has a short trust level for young guys. Lafferty made a really good first impression and is now replacing McCann as 2C when he was out with everyone else. Although I really do hope Addison makes the team out of camp, Letang, Marino, Addison is a crazy good RD lineup along with Dumo, Petterson, Riikola on LD. Rust is a fast player who you could plug on any line and will play his role and do well in it. thats why I want to keep him with all the injuries we always get. he can literally be moved anywhere without complaining about playing there.

I think Jarry actually will end up traded. They like DeSmith and if Jarry is going to want more money, he is upping his trade value enough to be able to trade him and maybe get rid of Johnson in the process. And i disagree with Johnson not trusting young players. Look how many chances Simon, Rust, etc get over guys like Hornqvist on that top line.
I don’t know if Lafferty takes over McCann but I could see them both being on the 3rd line when everyone is healthy next season (provided Bjugs and Rust are traded). It will be interesting to see how it all plays out though.
I just think with Adam Johnson, Lafferty, Bjorkqvist, Hallander, Angello, etc. we have tons of forward depth. It’s why they’ve been able to go on a 5 game winning streak and keep their heads above water with the absolute horrendous luck on injuries.

True, however i dont regard rust and simon as "young guys" by that i mean guys new to the big leagues. Also i didnt mean Lafferty is on McCann level, i just meant sully trusts him enough to play him there when McCann and everyone else is out. Honestly i thought there is no way we can trade JJ without giving up some big assets but if that asset is Jarry then im okay with it. Next year will be very interesting for the pens indeed.

there is no way in hell this team is using that 3rd pairing. EVER.
This isn't even worth debating
