Actually not that long. Probably just those 10 games. Groin Strain. Word on the street is that Stan and Co. were debating whether or not to actually LTIR him, but ultimately decided to do it for potential Dach bonus impacts. I guess every bit helps.

Murphy is a defenseman I think the Jets should try to acquire.

No chance. Saad has been our best player this year and isn't going anywhere.

A few things. This is definitely an overreaction, which is understandable given last night's performance, but let's not go too crazy.

1. You can only have 3 retained salaries at one time, so these trades can't all happen.

2. If we are keeping Lehner, we won't trade him. Telling him we want him back won't change the fact that other teams will want him too, and if he thinks we weren't loyal he will go elsewhere in free agency.

I think you can only retain salary on 3 players at a time per year.

I honestly just forgot about the 3 retained. I do agree much of this is overreaction for 1 game. However, at some point in just about every season. (not today) Every team needs to look at themselves in the mirror objectively. I personally don't think trading Lehner is the worst thing. Come February...if the Hawks are clearly out of it...why wouldn't Lehner WANT to go to a winner? Why wouldn't the Hawks WANT the draft pick? There are ways around the trust quite frankly. NTC's or NMC's. Lehner knows this is a business. He knows the deal he signed. It's a 1 year UFA deal. If there was a verbal agreement between he and Stan...ok yeah. Don't ever go back on your word, but we'll never know that for sure. Going to a winner and coming back to a team he likes...with an extra 1st rounder should be a good thing for long term winning.
