Puljujarvi

Created by: ThatGuy
Team: 2019-20 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 29, 2019
Published: Oct. 29, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Rumors has it that Ottawa is in on the Puljujärvi Stakes.

Here's my rational:

Give up a decent/safe prospect who will most likely end up being a productive 2-3 line player for a player who could end being a home run or a bust.

Chlapik was my favorite prospect 2 years ago! He kind of got lost in the mix with the recent influx of young talent to the team. Ottawa has sooooo much prospect in the pipeline - which can actually be a bad thing. There is so much Ice time in the NHL and AHL that you can give. Lack of playing time can affect some of these prospect development.

+ mid 2nd rounder in a deep draft.

And then Sign Poolparty to a similar contract to Duclair (1 yesr)

Chlapik can be an impact player this year, theres just no spot for him. Hes too good for a 4th line role but needs to play on the 3rd line

The latest came Friday I think from Bruce Garrioch.

Says that - "Ottawa have expressed solid interest in acquiring Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi. The Oilers are said to be looking for a 2nd round pick and a prospect".

Haven't heard much since.

Exactly, I really dont know what Dorion is doing. We have 48 contracts right now with so many picks coming up. We need to clear at least 15-20 of them in the next 1-2 years

Yup. The ones that make it. I think only about 25% of 2nd round picks have a 200+ game career.

I mean, A lot of contracts are up at the end in the next 2 years. The only players locked in long term are Chabot, Zaitsev (which i lowkey like), and whitey.

They'll also get rid of some players at the TDL!
