Yes I notice a pattern now take out Puljujarvi because Yzerman hasn't traded for him. It leaves Fabbri and Perlini and Detroit gave up Regula and DLR to get them. DLR compare his stats last season to Ehn's stats last season, we don't need 2 of the same player. With Regula he is probably a year or so behind McIssac. So when he is ready to come up he will be looking at Seider, Hronek, Cholowski, McIssac, Krug, (if Boston doesn't resign him) Dekeyser/Bowey (from what I've read it is most likely we lose 1 of them to Seattle) and even Kaski is projected above Regula. There is also Lindstrom and Tuomisto both of them have been getting a lot of praise from scouts and journalists. So the long way of saying Regula was expendable. Both players were former 1st round picks and both are in the final year of their contracts if it doesn't work out you just don't have to resign them. The other reason for bringing Fabbri and Perlini is he plans to buyout, burry or trade Neilson, Helm and/or Abdelkader. Now I didn't think this would happen but he's already buried Ericsson and brought in Biega to cover. Since Fabbri and Perlini can step-in and play now maybe moving Neilson, Helm and/or Abdelkader will happen sooner than I thought.
