Canes reject. Habs reject, since we have no room for Radil in the NHL.

CAR definitely rejects, Marty is an A, and an important part of the team/locker room, and definitely not for a near cap dump (he'd probably clear waivers if he was put on them today, but also wouldn't really take anything to move)

Melker would be an asset to most teams. He’s a very, very good PK’er and very defensively responsible player. He’s everything a team wants on their fourth line and I’d take him over Martinook 7 days a week. He’s also having a great year so far. I’m guessing my fellow sharks fans either don’t know anything about him or they just want to clear his cap.

Habs definitely reject, though Radil had a good game against Anaheim on Thursday. If Radil keeps playing that way then I’d rather keep him and his low cap to be honest.

Marty just isn't getting traded tho lol, ask any canes fan, they'll say the same things about Marty that you said about Melker lol

Yeah, he just got back from injury, that's why Gibbons was on waivers

If it needs to be said, yes, Pirri to the Sharks is a good pickup. Don't think they need to make any other moves to make it work. Just put Pirri in a top nine spot and get more points. Sorensen's on pace for 24 points. Pirri hasn't been on such a low pace in years. He's doing worse right now, but in fourth line minutes. Put him with Thornton and both improve.

I’m all for keeping Melker. You’re all for keeping Marty. So we agree to disagree and that’s ok.

Sorensens lack of production this year isn’t entirely on him. Jumbo has had a very quiet year so far as he has transitioned almost too much into a defensive forward. Still, Sorensen does more than score, he’s one of our faster players and he’s a solid agitator.

Nobody said to bench Sorensen. Every team needs two-way players, and somebody's gotta kill penalties. But give Thornton a linemate who got 18 points in 31 games last year, and the offense could pick up a bit.
