He would be 3rd in points on Boston and Detroit is really bad and has trouble scoring. So Bertuzzi having a ppg of .85 is rather impressive

4th in points, 6th in points per game.
aedoran and Propeller09 liked this.

You are correct I forgot Beregeon is on IR. I didn't even check Boston players ppg. I was just saying .85 on a really bad team was impressive. Now Pasta and Marchand are just about unstoppable right now.

Not really. Teams that don't really have to play defense or have any real (successful) structure in place make it a little easier to score. Also makes it easier to get lit up. He most certainly would not be playing 1st line minutes.

An equivalent trade would be Heinen for Cholowski or Hronek - Although Vaakanaian has a much higher ceiling than both. I am in the Heinen is better than he appears camp, and I still wouldn't do that deal if I am Detroit. It's really hard to trade 21 year old dmen playing 20m a night.

A couple other things. There is a zero percent chance Bertuzzi ends the season with a 20% shooting percentage. Bertuzzi is playing 19:33 per game. Pastrnak is averaging 19:02. There is a zero percent chance he plays 19m a night if on the Bruins.

This deal will also never happen because of the expansion draft. The Bruins will already lose someone, Vaak is not eligible. They will not trade him for a player they need to protect.

(Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak, Coyle, Heinen, Debrusk & Bjork @F -- Krug, McAVoy, Carlo @ D)

That means Grz, Kuraly, Frederic, Senyshyn, Moore + others will all be exposed.

*I think they chose Bjork over Kuraly because of Control. Kuraly's pay day is coming.

Obviously contingent on the Bruins re-signing Krug. Otherwise they protect Grz.

Frederic or Senyshyn could also be viewed as a Karlsson type and get some interest.

Still Bertuzzi isn't getting traded for Vaak and 2 AHL players it juust won't happen.

You are right, The Bruins won't do it. Vaakanainan's value is WAY HIGHER.

Senyshyn and JFK are or will be NHL'ers
6GP - 3pts // 9pts in 29games.

With Detroit having one line that can score that means Bertuzzi's line is going against their opponents best defensive unit every game. So yeah that does make it impressive. Since Bertuzzi is on the Wings it really doesn't matter how many minutes he would get in Boston. Yes I get it Boston is better, that was never in question and If you read all the comments here you would know that as of now I think Boston will win the cup this year.

Senyshyn does have 3points in 6 games but thats over 2 seasons and in that same time period he has played 78 games in the AHL. Senyshynin is a good skater with average puck skills, very little hockey sense and he's a turnover machine.

Even if JFK comes back he's a bottom 6 forward at best. He is an average skater with average puck skills, but he does have above average hockey IQ. He did play 28 games for Boston last season and you have to assume if he was going to start the season with Boston he doesn't go to Sweden to play. At 23 the odds are against him having a successful NHL career.

Vaak is the only part of that trade that has any value at all.
