He would be 3rd in points on Boston and Detroit is really bad and has trouble scoring. So Bertuzzi having a ppg of .85 is rather impressive
Not really. Teams that don't really have to play defense or have any real (successful) structure in place make it a little easier to score. Also makes it easier to get lit up. He most certainly would not be playing 1st line minutes.
An equivalent trade would be Heinen for Cholowski or Hronek - Although Vaakanaian has a much higher ceiling than both. I am in the Heinen is better than he appears camp, and I still wouldn't do that deal if I am Detroit. It's really hard to trade 21 year old dmen playing 20m a night.
A couple other things. There is a zero percent chance Bertuzzi ends the season with a 20% shooting percentage. Bertuzzi is playing 19:33 per game. Pastrnak is averaging 19:02. There is a zero percent chance he plays 19m a night if on the Bruins.
This deal will also never happen because of the expansion draft. The Bruins will already lose someone, Vaak is not eligible. They will not trade him for a player they need to protect.
(Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak, Coyle, Heinen, Debrusk & Bjork @F -- Krug, McAVoy, Carlo @ D)
That means Grz, Kuraly, Frederic, Senyshyn, Moore + others will all be exposed.
*I think they chose Bjork over Kuraly because of Control. Kuraly's pay day is coming.
