i traded almost nothing of value, almost all on expiring contracts, for depth in this very team.

you are talking in circles.

I don't think any of the pieces you brought back are a help though. Tofolli is the best you picked up and he's not really anything special, Virtanen is nothing, Jankowski is having a terrible year, none of this really improves you. Its just rearranging deck chairs.

This does not work, at least in Buffalo. We developed Nylander, Mittelstadt, Dahlin, Cozens, and what happens to these players? Our organization does not know how to work with young players. Nylander didn’t develop correctly and now in Chicago, Mittelstadt, which seems to have 2C potential, but he plays in bottom 6 with marginal players and will probably score 20-25 points again and will not progress, Dahlin will probably be fine, difficult spoil a player with such skills, Cozens seems like a great prospect, but it’s also unclear how it will develop in Buffalo. We need to stop tanking and forget this word altogether, the team has not been in the playoffs for 8 years, the fans are tired of it, let them hire competent people, let them gather the squad around Eichel, Skinner, Reinhart, Olofsson, Johansson, Cozens, Dahlin, Jokiharju, Mitts and UPL.

I can add to that list
Kassian McNabb, Armia, Zadorov, Compher, Lemieux, Guhle
Also Foligno would be nice to have

Possession stats are similar, offensive stats are in Girgensons favor, Girgensons PDO is much higher, Jankowski literally only has a good PK reputation, gunna need more than ??‍♂️

Jank has 31 goals the last 2 1/4 years. Girg has 29 the last 4 1/4.. Jank had as many goals as Girg had points the last 2. Lol.

Girg will likely be in the KHL next year. Literally has no value.

i like johansson, he is on a short term good deal.

bogosian could be moved yes, if anyone wants to take a chance with his injury history. i traded scandella,

imagine thinking trading sam reinhart is a good idea.

good lord.

What if you can get some good assets for him? He's okay but he's never really impressed me, not sure why.

you literally traded girgensons for jankowski one for one 17 hours agolaugh

Yes i like the trade because the Sabres PK is atrocious. I dont in any capacity think I'm going to get a steal and Jankowski starts lighting the lamp

Ya, Buffalo. Because nobody wants him. When his contract runs out. Bye bye.

Because hes 2nd on the team in points, on pace for 70 something. Because you're risking youre 2nd best player for futures that you dont have any idea what youre getting. That would a horrible decision to trade him. The only way he gets traded is if he says hes not signing here. Not only that look at what he got for ROR. Sabres dont need assets, they need players

The only bias is a Buffalo fan saying Girg has any value. Be like a Boston fan saying Par Lindholm does.

Analytically Girgensons is a good enough 4th liner, Im not calling him Gretzky, but he will be in the NHL next year, probably for a couple more seasons

There are literally hundreds of guys that can do the same job and do it cheaper. He will get more $ from KHL where he’d play top 6 on most teams.

They need depth and a lot of it, I'd also say they need 2 more centres, a legit 2C or a 1B and a 2C but that doesn't come from trades for other teams depth players.

Well Cozens would be one and we at least know what were going to get out of him instead of moving Reinhart for a pick, not knowing whos even going to be available at the time, then developing that player for another 3 years, if he can even make the league. Or they could move their first (or 2nd) and get a NHLer right now, Johansson moves to 3C and now 3 have those 3 Centers
