Most people are starting to realize the asking price isn't worth the return due to his play.
A lot of people are starting to be honest about a long term deal on him too. I don't think there is a single person who wants to pay a guy who's always injured till he's 35-36 on some insane 11 million dollar deal like everyone thinks he's going to get.
Hard to convince anyone to do that at this point. The game has changed, most people realize it. This is going to be a contract where I think reality hits for most teams.
Buying 6-7 years over 30 isn't on most teams radar. I think he gets a shorter deal, 4-5 years at a high AVA. Or he takes a much lower AVA for longer term. They will claim a "discount" but that's just bs.
