Sorry but Georgiev isn't proven and he isn't exactly going to command the high price NYR fans think. Get real dude.

First, I think Gorgiev is good enough to give up good or potentially good assets for. Rangers really can't afford a big cap hit this year or next year. Rangers might be looking at low cost wingers as they likely will lose/or not sign four UFA wingers. Leafs have some wingers that might be of interest if the Rangers even want to move Georgiev, I think there is a fit.

i guess 60 games over 3 seasons means you aren't "proven". Or that he's improved in each of his seasons dramatically. Or that on a bad NYR team that allows 3.21 goals per game, he has a 2.72 GAA and a .920+ save percentage over 16 games (OMG SUCH A SMALL SAMPLE SIZE WHEN WE ARE ONLY 33 GAMES INTO THE SEASON).

I mean he definitely is getting up there in age and retirement is coming, it's not like he's under team control much longer, to be honest he's probably at most an AHL backup or an ECHL starter-- no way does he have a future in the NHL, he should really just retire cause he sucks so much [this is as accurate as your statement there buddy].

oh btw, he's ranked 16th in the league for GA% and GSAA which just implies he's just not good at all Huh?

will do popcorn

JG already said he's not trading him, and while that's a tactic to make teams pay more, the rangers really have no need to trade him at this moment. lundqvist is gone in one more year and a tandem of Shesterkin and Georgiev could be one of the best in the NHL in a few years (say shest take 60% of the starts). If anything, rangers will trade Huska or Wall since they also have Lindbom who is younger. If a team is willing to overpay --Georgiev is gone, but a team is going to have to overpay. Think Martin Jones, Varlomov, etc

Great. He isn’t proven over a full season yet. I think he is a good goalie but I wouldn’t be willing to offer a 1st or a blue chip for him and it’s not really even close. Sorry if you can’t take that.

Oh it's close! Considering he's a blue chip himself, easily the best g available with even more promise. He's no longer a maybe. Easily worth a late 1st. ***Doesn't matter, thankfully we are Not trading him...

As a Ranger fan I would be very upset if we got less than a mid 1st round pick. If you look at the Rangers trades of goaltenders in the past Cam Talbot and Antti Raanta would be great comparisons.

Antti Ranta + Derek Stepan = 1st #7 overall + Anthony Deangelo: Ranta (traded at age 27) on a decent team had a similar amount of games played and a similar save % to Georgiev.
Cam Talbot = 2nd, 3rd, 7th (picks 57, 79 and 184 overall): Talbot (traded at age 27) had a higher save % on a way better NYR team with slightly fewer games played than Georgiev.

Something to keep in mind is that Georgi who is younger (23) than both of these goalies, is putting up very good numbers on a bad Ranger team. He also lacks any playoff experience.
