I believe Timashov is out tonight. Engvall is playing really well in the small sample size and it seems like Keefe really loves him, especially on the PK.

Nope, confirmed in by keefe

My bad, tweet was from 2 days ago. That makes far more sense.

I beginning to wonder which guy should be moved for defensive help, Johnsson or Kapanen. The other wingers have been so impressive that I wonder if both are expendable. I really would like to see someone bigger play with Matthews and Nylander. Someone who can crash the net and just cause Havoc. Kapanen either can't or won't and Johnsson just isn't big enough. I'd like to see Korshkov up there eventually and I'd also like to see Mikheyev or Engval get a chance since they seem like they are willing to go hard to the net.

I hope they will play

Hyman - Tavares - Marner
Moore - Matthews - Nylander
Mikheyev - Kerfoot - Kapanen
Timashov - Spezza - Engvall

These are the lines. What I do like is nylander on the left like he was at the WC. Rather than kappy.

I think kappy stays but on the third line. Johnsson can be moved and I think most gm’s see the value in him over kappy. I thought Johnsson was good infront of the net. Even if he gets pushed around you still have the commotion.

Just look at the drop off of the Matthews line without Johnsson. They certainly had something good there. I do believe a guy like Moore, mikheyev or could step in and add what that line needs.

Oh for sure, Johnsson has done well there. However, he isn't a net front presence, when he's screened the goalie its mainly been him flying past. Matthews will score a lot more if there is a guy who can put his back to the goalie and stay in front battling with a defenceman. Korshkov did that in the preseason and I desperately want to see that for Matthews. A guy who will give Matthews and Nylander more space and also bang home some rebounds from time to time.

That actually might be a great idea for next season. Would love to see it this year but I don’t see it happening.

I would move Kerfoot before both of the mentioned....

Kerfoot grinds and plays physical. But I think I am with you on that.

I agree, I think they want him down on the farm for the full year to get better at English and learn the north american game. He can come up next year and impress.

He can play centre which makes him far more important than Kapanen or Johnsson. All one has to do is think back to the playoffs last year and see what happened after Kadri got suspended. The team couldn't move Nylander up because he had to play centre, there were no other options. This year they have Spezza and Gauthier and Engval but none are good as Kerfoot and that makes him too versatile to move.

never move the guy that can play centre over wingers who can't.

How does that garner a facepalm? I know that you immediately think anyone who disagrees with you is stupid but tell me why keeping a winger who can't take a faceoff is worth more than a guy who can play centre, which is the most important forward position.
