Murray = top 6 fwd and a 2nd/3rd depending on the player

Shultz = 2nd and a 4th

Aging stars have no value to any team not in a window or with the youth capable of building an instant contender.
Because of that the return will never be worth the penguins ever trading them. Because no team is handing over a ton for guys with 1-3 years left tops.

what about murray, hes having a bad season and jarry seems to be the man. Would a mid 2nd rounder and a medium prospect or maybe a dman on an expiring contract

I personally wouldn't do that, Murray has always been inconsistent, we usually don't have a Jarry to take starts from him though

One might get shopped, but as of now I'd say the plan is to keep both and only move one if you hear a great offer, the minimum offer would be something better than whatever their offersheet would be

Lmao absolutely not. He’s a young goalie whose in a rut. He’s still one of the best young goalies in the leauge. He’s proven to be a clutch playoff performer. Goalies are inconsistent, it happens. Pens could do a lot better than a 2nd lol

Goalies dont hold value, theirs a lot of kids fighting for only 2 spots per team. Gamble away a top 6 forward on an inconsistent position or pick one up on the cheap whos not going to be that big of a step backwards. Goalies that are worth more than a 1st, wont be traded

Freddy anderson got a 1st and 2nd, Schinder got 9th Overall. Raanta/Stepan package got 7th overall and D’angelo, Martin Jones got a first round pick, etc...

Pens won’t trade Murray, but there’s definitely a market there
