Middle 6 is line 2 and 3. Top 6 is line 1 and 2. They overlap. He’s not a first liner. Butch is a 2nd liner, Fast is a 3rd. Collectively middle 6ers.

How a player is being used and what his talent level is is not always one in the same. Depends on team depth.

Peter Mrazek is bring used as a #1 goalie in Carolina, does not mean he is one. Boston uses Heinen on 2nd, should not be. Get it?

FYI - Boston has pretty much no cap space. So you might be able to pull the 1st and a different prospect if you take salary back or retain. Without that...no. That does not mean Heinen whose 17g 47pt rookie season is as good as any season Butch has had.

I would say that ridiculous and ludicrous are in no way synonymous with absurd. Absurd implies a certain level of weird. Calling this trade ridiculous is being too kind. It isn’t just a typical lopsided ACGM venture. Those are too commonplace to even warrant a comment. Or maybe if it was just studnicka it would warrant a comment in effort to try to inform you of the level of prospect studnicka is, and what he means to the bruins organization given their depth, or lack there of at center. that would be ridiculous, and ludicrous, but understandable.
