You know Tatar is on pace for 72 points right? Better give me Sam Steel or Trevor Zegras if your other asset is a 2031 second rounder.
Jokes aside we'd need picks for this year's draft or high ceiling prospect to let go Tomas.

You're overvaluing Tatar. Tatar's value might be worth a 1st round pick but he is not worth top tier prospect like Zegras. Besides would you be willing to trade Caufield for Tatar? If Tatar gets traded, the Habs will most likely get back a contender's 1st round pick
