I do not think Mikheyev plays for the remainder of the year.
It will be playoffs when he is able to return and he will not be in form.

Dont see Leafs burning years off of Sandin and Liljergen either.

Way to read the description guys. Is he probably out? Sure. But jjwatt tore his pecs off the bone and is playing today 2 months before most people would play again. Hence, assume all healthy.

Montreal fan thinks a team is too small? And thinks a leafs team has no chance? Shocked. Shocked I am. Did you see my caveat of no trades? Think the leafs have a ton of skilled big guys ready to go on the Marlies?

Who do you want that's bigger, tougher, and better than somebody I have here? You hate the leafs so want the skill and speed philosophy to fail. But who on Marlies do you think Montreal should trade good assets for?

You said leafs are too small/soft to win.
I said in my title no trades allowed
So I asked which players they could play that would be better for you.
You stare blankly.

If you're just commenting that Leafs have zero chance, you're trolling and just need to turn off your internet. Every team who makes the playoffs has a chance. Particularly the one that since the coaching change has been the best team in the league despite iffy goaltending.

They can't make moves for bigger players they're already up against the cap. They can't do anything and will most likely burn out because of the tough play. And even if they pass the first round boom they're up against Boston. The theory of skill and speed has been proven not to work and id argue that Boston and Tampa have more skill then the leafs and are tougher.

Let me guess it's cause the team is so small. Do some research, they are one of the biggest teams in the league. They may not be overly physical but they are big enough to handle it.

Apparently Mikheyvov isn't. even allowed to lift anything for three months. Doubt if will even be skating. So gotta got assume he's out for the season.

In the post season, there is no salary cap.

To those who don't follow the Leafs, the Leafs didn't lose the last two/three/even four series due to lack of physicality. Bruins PP was the deciding factor and I'll maintain...poor coaching by the Leafs
Leafs have to make the playoffs this season before we taking about winning or losing the first round.

He's a habs fan. The Leafs could be the Broad street Bullies reincarnate and he'd just say not enough skill.

As I said in the explanation, I'm assuming Health. They say 3 months but he'll get the cast off every few days or weeks to check on it, and if he can make a fist at some point without pain he'll be almost healed. Can easily keep in game shape. I'm not getting on it but not beyond the realm of possibility.

I agree on Boston bit.

Leafs have been best team in the league since the coaching change (by point percentage and actual points) despite shoddy goaltending at times. I don't think making the playoffs will be an issue.

I do figure the Bruins will finish first, Tampa second, Leafs third. Might be very high scoring season between Leafs and Tampa.

Cool so you just listen to talking heads on tv that are too lazy to actually come up with something to say. TO lost to Boston because they were outcoached and their PK was terrible.

Boston hasn't actually been playing well. They just keep losing in OT. Tampa is doing better but I also think they aren't as good as people think they are.
