I mean in fairness they’ve only had two (don’t count hall that was a trade). Which is obviously a lot, but nothing compared to Edmonton’s 4 (hall, RNH, Yak, McDavid)

we get the 1st ovr pick twice in three years because of 2 things: 1. Hall 2. Kovalchuk left so the NHL feels bad and is trying to make it up to us.

idk, is the devils with hughes hischier and lafreniere as lame as the penguins getting fluery crosby and malkin (#2)

or even the avs getting landeskog #2 mackinnon makar #4 byram #4

I personally hate tanking, but I think Mackinnon and crosby alone are worth more lol

What about Byfield, that guy is going to be a tremendous pro? I'd trust him as my 2C over Hughes. Superior faceoff skills, plays well in all zones with big NHL body. I think you'd have to take him over anyone not named Lafreniere and move Hughes to wing, where he'd have less responsibility.
