Created by: Billy739

Initial Creation Date: Jan. 8, 2020
Published: Jan. 8, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
In 2 games on a back to back after not playing since Nov.2019 Kovalchuk averaged 20 & a half minutes of ice time Kovalchuk has 3 assists , 8 hits , 2 blocked shots ,1 turnover and finishing a +1.

Everyone **** on Kovalchuk on this site.
Its time y'all start giving credit where its due .

MTL is a different system and its why guys other teams write off succeed here . (Weise , Petry,Danault,Radulov , Tatar and Domi are al examples in the past 5 years )

for this reason i say bring in Ho-Sang (or Dal Colle) for a Weal and a 5th round pick .

NYI gets a depth NHL forward who only costs 750k and is a reliable 13th forward incase of injury who can take faceoffs and win consistently incase a Center goes down.

forgot about him but fixed it
stuck him on 4th with Thompson and Byron who both battle for pucks and create offense .

i figure with those three on a good night they could step up and play 2nd most minutes on one of those 4-5 game stretches Domi dissapears .

i'll take that bet
no one will give MB what he'd want for them with additional 1 year term remaining .
you'll see 1/2 moved at the draft in MTL and it will likely be whomever performed the best up unto the playoffs .(and in the playoffs IF that happens )

i think Tatar at the Draft or Summer trade and Petry TDL 2021 before we have to protect him from the expansion draft .
D always get overpaid at the TDL is the reason i think Petry will be moved then .

As a Detroit fan I was able to watch him play and I thought he looked better than the handful of times I saw him play last year.

I think they would. There's not one stand out team this year in the playoffs, I think their will be bidding war to push them over the top. It's a great year to sell IMO

I've been defending Kovalchuk for almost 2 years now. 34 points tied to the 3rd and 4th line playing 14 mins or less a game, not bad. Kings weren't fare to him and I miss him, but glad to see he's getting the opportunity we never gave him.

remember Markov /Radulov blow back ?
you're not suggesting MB is stupid enough to repeat that are you?

Given that they took Emelin last time happily it was all kind of a waste holding out .
MTL's could take your approach but why bother when we could give them Armia and they'd be happy as can be.

Seattle wont be looking to MTL for much as like VGK i think they'll build on role playing roster members for their success .
i think they'd covet and Armia or Lehkonen the most

Drouin Domi Lehkonen Kotkaniemi Evans will be protect, if Gallagher extend before summer 2021 he will be protect ( most likely ) so you got 6 forwards protected

Armia Tatar won’t be back with MTL, so we could protect Danault.

Seattle won’t pick a UFA guy, if they pick Armia and Armia doesn’t sign, they waste their pick.

Weber Mete Fleury will be protected, Chiarot will be selected by Seattle IMO

Petry same for Armia, he’ll be UFA and could not sign with Seattle.
