Toffoli deal is not good. It’ll take at least a 2020 2nd and a 2020 3rd. Maybe even a B prospect.

It wasn't there when I stumbled onto your post, though I saw the reference to Tatar. Not sure Bellows will ever figure his way up to the NHL, but this would be a gamble worth taking. I'd be more inclined to ask for Wahlstrom and offer the Isles a pick if Tatar doesn't deliver in the playoffs or sign an extension.

Bellows has 13 G 2 A in his last 17 games. He’s only 21.

make the conditional 2nd a 1st if Toffoli re-signs .
it'll keep LAK fans happy and likely won happen

MTL trade is good as is with Tatar on pace for back to back career years you have to pay him .
plus i think he'd fit in with NYI because they play a similar Speed/Size game unlike VGK.

Charles Hudon has 16 goals and 3 assists in 25 games. As a 21-year-old, Hudon had 28 goals and 25 assists in 67 games. Would you trade Bellows for Hudon straight up? Of course not. The truth is AHL stats tend to mean very little in projecting NHL success. What does determine it is the quality of the ice time a player is getting. At the moment, Bellows is getting a reputation of being a one-trick pony.

You'd have to make the conditional 2nd a 2021 pick, since the free agent deadline is after the 2020 draft.

Make it a conditional 2021 2nd that becomes a 1st if he re-signs plus a 2020 4th and the Kings would probably take it. You wouldn't even have to include the 6th.

His dad was the same but at a time when you could get away with forwards not playing defensively .
His dad's power forward style of driving the net hard always seen him with points and a job .

Bellows issue is he's trying to be fast instead of being strong .
he just needs to find that balance and i think MTL Francis Boullion can help him as he's got a reputation for his overpowering strength as a player . Boullion teaches players how to use an opponents size against them using your smaller stature to an advantage . He did wonders for Byron in particular who was a new man after training with Frankie .

that being said i wouldnt give up anymore for Kiefer then someone would pony up for a Evans , Ikonen or Olofsson for the exact reasons you stated

Hudon proved he was an NHL player when he put up 30 points in 70 games back in 17-18. It's not his fault he was shuffled down the line up to the point where he had to become a checking forward in order to play. I think it has more to do with Mis-Coaching than it does his skill level.
