Im not gonna pretend to be a pro on the VGK roster and prospect pipeline, but acquiring both of these guys together would cost the knights a lot, especially with the amount of salary that would need to go back.

To match the salaries of Brodin it looks like Cody Eakin would need to go or a combination of Reeves and Eakin for Zucker.
there are other salaries that could match, but are all prominent players

The big issue I think for a Vegas trade is cap space. The Wild shouldn't be looking to do a traditional "hockey trade" but instead should be moving either of these two for picks/prospects and Vegas can't afford to make a trade like that. I see the argument for the Wild taking Eakin and Reaves, but both of those guys should have some positive value in a trade and that means the Wild would get less of what they actually need (picks/prospects). The only NHL player on Vegas that would make sense for the Wild is Glass, but there's no chance that's happening. Basically as much as Brodin and Zucker would be fits for Vegas, I don't see a scenario where the Wild could make a trade with them that would make sense.

I don’t post this to dispute this...but just keep in mind that have almost $2M cap space today, and will have around $3.3M at the deadline. Since both are under contact next year, it’s more complicated for sure.

It’s unlikely, but not impossible to trade for both. However it’s likely the ‘rumors’ are one or the other.

Would Zucker and Brodin for Glass and a cap dump or two (Eakin and/or Reeves) be out of the question? Wild would then flip the two for picks...

Although Zucker is a resident of Las Vegas, like Deryk Engelland, I don’t see much of a fit here. The Golden Knights don’t need Brodin and rather a right hand shot defenseman.

I'd love it if we could get Glass, but to answer your question I have no idea. Vegas wasn't willing to trade him for Erik Karlsson although he was a rental that year...
