Rangers say no. You have to give something to get something and this is just a basket of throw ins. Jost has a little value as a 3rd liner and Ranta is a b- level prospect. Together they get Strome. Or add a 2nd round pick and they get Kreider. But to get both you need a 1st and someone like Newhook added to the original offer. Do you even need both?

Why would the Rangers take this poo-poo platter instead of the late 2020 1st and a b/b+ prospect that one of Boston, St Louis or Dallas will offer instead.

If rangers are giving up kreider and strome you better believe there is a true blue chip prospect coming back to them.. newhook or byram plus a mid pick or Kaut + 1st
