Except TOR needed to trade Marleau in order to sign Marner - NSH doesn't have anything like that. They could keep Turris and still be fine cap-wise. Not saying the preds may not need to add to move Turris, just saying that there are definite differences between TOR trading Marleau and NSH potentially trading Turris.

Well that ain't accurate about Marner. The Leafs could have signed him....but someone would have to go...probably Nylander.
If I'm the Sharks, I wouldn't want to take on a four full years of a bad contract just to get a mid round first. Just use you cap better in the future. Unfortunately for the Sharks they have 41.5m in five players long term....and probably declining players.

You're just being unreasonably obtuse on the TOR issue. TOR needed to trade someone to get under cap with the Marner contract - if he still had a year of ELC, Marleau would likely still be in a TOR jersey right now. They traded him because of the Marner contract.

I don't see the sharks moving Noesen at all, if they even do, it would not be Vegas.
