It may be kind of close on paper but the Leafs should grab Meier here and not look back if SJ accepts.

TOR doesn't. They have enough "marquee" players, they lack the depth guys. Giving up two middle 6 guys for 1 doesn't make much sense. If you want to trade those two guys, get a D on some term. Next year is gonna get ugly quick for TOR and there really isn't a quick fix for it.

Honestly no, I dont think the sharks could even use him. Id want like Wahlstrom back and the leafs dont have someone like him.

Timo Meier is a top line talent on most teams regardless of the Sharks results this year. Leafs should take this and run then flip him or Nylander for a top pairing RD that the above package couldnt pull on ita own
