That’s a nice trade for Chicago, is the first conditional on a resign?

No, I would have put that in the footnote. Lehner is a great goalie, and Chicago should be asking for at least one 1st WHEN they trade him

While I do agree with what your saying. A 1st and KK is alot. I'd do this as a hawks fan.

Honestly, seeing the "please don't kill me" and "I know I'm gonna get roasted" captions on this site goes to show how toxic ACGM can really be. People need to calm down and lighten up on hypothetical trades posted by fans of the sport. Felt like ranting for a sec.

Anyways, if the Leafs can somehow get a stud backup like Lehner, who knows how far they'll go. Potential is there.

Appreciate the rant, didn't know how far off I'd be.

As for the trade itself, the potential is there for the Leafs and the Hawks continue with their rebuild

Toronto's not giving that up for Lehner. No team is giving that up for Lehner.

Given the potentially disastrous injury to Freddie tonight, the Maple Leafs may be forced into this kind of trade. But I don't see Chicago making it as long as they have a chance at getting into the playoffs themselves. We may not find out until the trade deadline, and Toronto needs help NOW.

Nah that's a horrible trade for Chicago, they'd never do that

Then I guess they don't trade Lehner? He's a rental goaltender, they aren't worth as much in trades.

If Chicago trades Lehner, it’s going to be for a first plus a good prospect or 3rd is my guess. This is too much though but the first is a 2021 and Hawks would want a 2020. I think if you do Kap plus a 3rd without the first, Hawks may bite.

Really? You may want to look at historicals on what kind of players teams get in exchange for a 1st on a one year rental...I’ll give you a hint, a lot less then a top 6 goalie in the league.

If he's a top 6 goaltender don't trade him. Especially if you're in the playoff hunt again.

Goaltenders are rarely traded at the deadline.

Exactly and if we are in the hunt in another few weeks Hawks likely won’t move him. I didn’t suggest this, Leafs fans are suggesting this.

Crow is also playing really well lately. Hawks could move one potentially, but hard to say until the deadline approaches.!
