I think your overpaying for all the leaf trades. And whooaaaa, your giving up Semyon Der arguchintsev. Not happending

This is actually quite refreshing in that your actually giving up quality assets for your returns. However, therein lies the problem. You're giving up a bit too much here in every trade. Mighty kind of you . But I doubt you aspire to be the next Peter Chiarelli.

Out of all of the trades, I'd probably like to see Kapanen moved for Savard in some capacity. Wouldn't mind Marleau back from the Sharks either.

I could see Kappy + Schmaltz + Mid - Late pick (maybe a 4th) for Savard

Not sure if that works out capwise

I think kappy straight up for Savard works. Rd is more valuable than RW, but Savard is older with only one year left after this year

Columbus is in the middle of the playoff race as well and look like they’d be more interested in Kerfoot since he can slot in down the middle. Adding SDA is to help pry Anderson from them as well. Intriguing prospect but is likely at least 4/5 years away from NHL.

Fair point but I disagree that’s it’s too much in all of them. Benning is a really good defenseman, 25, right shot, good skater, far from a pushover. Johnsson has become a luxury Leafs no longer need but could slot in on McDavid’s left. Him and Kassian as his wingers for the next three years at a combined 6.6 and then they have Draisaitl and Yamamoto getting to continue to build chemistry on the second unit. Savard amd Anderson both bring styles the Leafs could use to play stronger and better defensively than they do now and Anderson around same age as Kerfoot. Barrie is mostly for the pick but Reaves will be a fan favourite and the cap hits offset. The sharks trade is steep price for two rentals but Joe could take Matthews under his wing and show him how to use his size to his offensive advantage and Dillon is a bulldozer. Gave up assets but didn’t give up Liljegren, Sandin, Robertson, Korskov, Brooks, or even Bracco. Our 2nd this year, 1st next year, are also both intact. I feel I balanced the all in now approach without leaving the cupboards bare.
