This is a terrible trade for the Canucks in giving up Boeser. The Canucks have waited years to get a player like Boeser and you are trading him away which makes no sense.

That's a lot of assets to give up on the Penguins part but for where the two teams are right now in their respective development it would be good for both teams. Poulin can be a Boeser type of scorer in the future with the numbers that he's putting up right now and that fits both teams timelines. Boeser would immediately skate Sidney Crosby and he would tap the scoreboard every game. Vancouver would really nail down a good future with gaining 3 huge assets with he two picks PLUS Poulin and IF Galchenyuk connected with the Canucks it could be a good score for them as well. I think the Penguins would consider it.

Yeah, I take that and run if I'm Pittsburgh. Why would Vancouver want to move Boeser?

22-year-old RW that's good for at least 60 points and 20 goals a year. He also has solid underlying numbers and doesn't appear to be a defensive liability. Team's usually hold onto guys like that.

I think this ends up being tight salary wise on the penguins.
Maybe if VAN takes Bjugstad back to help the cap work.
Pens at roughly 20 million cap space.
4 for McCann
3 for Kahun
2-3 for the spare parts.
Then you got to pay Murray and Jarry.
You add in a 6 million contract.....tight against the cap. They would need to shed cap going forward. Add Bjugstad and it works cap wise.

I don't see Van doing this. But I think the value is close.
