Only way I can see bjugstad staying is getting him to play wing on a beefy line with a good face off centre. That line would be an animal possession wise. Two speedy two way wingers in Motte and Rust for Malkin. And getting Brodin speaks for itself, it's an upgrade.

That Kahun Deal is not a good one. Hes been very good for what hes paid. Much better than both player you want to deal him for no way.

Beagle is a terrible contract, especially for a team that doesn't need someone in the role.

Um, no. The return is still garbage. Beagle sucks. So does Motte. There is no reason to bring them to Pittsburgh. It would drastically worsen the team.

Go watch a game. Go look at actual stats, offensive numbers arent everything, most players don't produce points like crosby

HE SUCKS. He hasn't had a positive goal differential since 16-17, hasn't had a positive scoring chances differential since 14-15. He is 2nd to last in the league in allow scoring chances per 60 minutes of ice time. He is 34 signed to a bad contract for 2 more years. He is god awful.

His job is to win faceoff and grind the game away and that's exactly what he does even against really good lines. The Canucks have had bad goaltending so of course that's an issue.

He's a fourth line guy. He's not fast and not particularly skilled. Blueger is a better, cheaper, and younger version of that player. Paying a guy that much for that role is just a terrible idea.

Bjugstad is fine in that role when he comes back. McCann also works there (if the team adds a winger to play with Crosby). Beagle and his horrible contract are not what the team needs.

Allowing that many shots and scoring chances against shows that he isn't grinding anything away. The Penguins have a good shut down line in ZAR Blueger Tanev. Sully wants players who are faster skaters with aggressive forechecking ability. He doesn't fit the system.

Also Beagle is decently fast and he's also a big body thats gritty too

Beagle isn't a 3rd line center, he's a 4th line center.
If your 3rd line doesn't contribute on the scoresheet your team is going nowhere.
