The Rare Three-Headed Monster

Description
What if Lundqvist stays for one last season and the Rangers have 3 goalies on the roster? I just wanted to see if they could make it work. That's gotta be the league's most expensive goaltending coach.

The one reason I dont see it happening is because of next summer's expansion draft. They dont want to lose Georgiev for nothing.

He’d also be worth every penny teaching those young guns how to be handsome and stylish

Anything can work sure.
But GB man/wo-man there are two major issues off the top of my head:
1) 22 skaters over 82 NHL games is suicide (injuries, fatigue etc. will get you a ton of LOSES). On the bright side, the Lottery will be fun for the NY faithful, they love sh_itty teams it makes them all warm inside!!
2) You are "capped-out" and basically have US$3M in dead money for Georgie...

Are the Rangers gonna have to protect Shesbeentwerkin in the expansion draft or will he be exempt?

The Rangers are in a great position there: Shesterkin's exempt from the draft. And Henrik... Wait, he has an NMC, but his contract is up immediately, and the Expansion Draft Simulator doesn't show him as needing protection. I think they can protect Georgiev and keep both of their Russian goalies.

Shesterkin's exempt, and I think Lundqvist can be left available.

He probably is. I still dont see them keeping all 3 though. It's not a sustainable model. The only real reason to do it is to have a goalie available

Question for your Seattle mock though, does yours have only eligible goalies in green and no skaters? Every time I do it none of the skaters are shown in green

Lol!
I gotta remember that one.

Will a guy like Georgiev have enough patience to be in a 3 goalie system is the real question. If Lindquist loves NYC too much, he won't be going anywhere.

Yeah, I've got no one marked in green. I can see them signing a goalie to a two year contract for the AHL that would fit the bill, someone with enough experience. In this scenario, I picked Maxime Legace, but it could be almost anyone. (edit: Goalies do not require to meet the exposure requirements. Still, NYR might want someone for the AHL.)

As for the skaters, I'm pretty sure no one's marked green yet because they haven't met the criteria of having played 40 games in the 20-21 season or 70 games in the 19-20 and 20-21 seasons. But that's just because there haven't been 40 games in the 20-21 season or 70 games in the 19-20 and 20-21 seasons yet. It'll be more clear who's qualified as the season goes on. There are definitely some decisions being made on that basis. (noticed that the Ducks just signed Deslauriers for 2 years, so he'll almost certainly be one of their potential sacrifices)

Anthony DeAngelo is arbitration eligible.

I can't imagine a scenario where he gets 1 year at 2 mil (especially after NYR low balled him last summer)

Yeah, he's going to get a lot more than that. Lemieux will get a bit more as well. And the cap wont go to 84 mill. So Strome would have to be moved.

What should a DeAngelo make? He scores, but I think he gets the more sheltered minutes on his team. (Skjei and Trouba doing the heavy lifting on defence) He's a second-pairing defenceman on a non-playoff team, his Corsi's not great... but he is scoring a lot.
