Description
Sad to see Gryz go but better than losing him in expansion. Saad is an interesting pickup but I think he could compliment Kredji and DeBrusk really nicely + he has term (Sweeney type deal). Greenway plays a power game like Coyle and could be a really good fit. He's also an RFA....Moore deal could be with any team..I feel someone would be willing to take him for a 5th or 6th.

really? I feel its fair, actually leaning towards MIN a bit. Maybe a 3rd instead of 2nd but that's all Ill go down to if I was the bruins

Bruins ride Griz this playoffs then sell him at the draft imo. I also dont see the Bruins moving Bjork, they've stuck with him this whole time thru injury, he'll get extended and if he cant make the next step next year then I could see them moving on from him.

I think thats pretty fair imo, but according to what ive read from Wild fans on here is that theyre looking to add a center. Also depends what happens with Brodin this deadline/summer. If he ends up being the guy that stays in town I cant see them making a move for Grizz.

More like "Off Your Rocker"...
* 26 on roster?
* About US$2M over something called the 'Cap'
* Adding Saad = deleting Krug from re-signing
* Grizz is RFA sign him and protect 9 (Rask, Bergy, Pasta, Marchie, Debrusk, Mac, Carlo, Grizz and Krug)

it was either him or Heinen..I still like Heinen more than Bjork but could be either player imo

Coyle, Tuukka, Krejci? Obviously Krejci and Tuukka all depends on extensions but I feel theyre both likely to get one. Grizz is out of here come summertime imo. I think we see the Bruins move a pick to Seattle for them to take who we want them to take come the expansion draft. Too many guys eligible for this upcoming expansion.

Deal is pretty fair value but you’re not giving the Wild anything they need, a goalie or centers

look at the healthy scratches jesus christ..those are just potential options the Bruins could use in case of injury. Adding Saad does not mean we cant sign Krug. Bjork and Grezlyck would probably be around the 5-6 million mark for both which is Saad money. Then your back to square one

You gave to keep 7 fw 3 d and 1 goalie. Or 8 skaters and a goalie. Anyone with an NMC has to be kept unless they waive.

So. If you go 8 skaters to protect extra D you leave Debrusk unprotected as Bergy/Marchy/Coyle/Pasta have to be kept. Not happening.

Bergy
Marchy
Pasta
Coyle
Debrusk
Final 2 TBD

Mac
Carlo
Krug if res-signed if not than Lauzon

No they would not. Greenway/2nd worth more than that package despite your hardon for Grizz.

Could be, but 2 years away, never know, value changes. Today...you wouldn’t. Grizz grades out better than him right now.

2 years ago FLA trade Marchessault to Vegas for them to take Reilly Smith so they could protect Petrovic and Pysyk. Lol

Petrovic now in the AHL with us. And Pysyk is a 3rd pair guy.

Krejci won't be protected. He'll be 34 yrs old, have >US$7M cap hit and 1yr contract remaining (highly doubt Seattle Kraken bites on that $$, thus he will come back to Boston as per Sweeney's gamble).
Coyle won't be protected. @ US$5.25M per (a little high for many, but Sweeney's a Harvard man and upped it so he would likely not be selected by Seattle) thus he might come back to Boston.

Nigkas - I protected Rask above, so not sure why he was mentioned....??

NIC - you forgot to add DeBrusk to your "in-need" of new contract...estimate Krug $6.5 to 7.5M Debrusk $3-4M, Grizz $2 to 2.5M, Bjork $1.25 to 1.5M tops = on avg that's roughly US$13-15M
Oh and don't forget you got to replace Halak...cha ching! cha ching!

Off the top of my head, I say you're capped-out!!

The Point = no Saad (or Krug) going forward without better Chi-town retention $$ and I suppose Backes is somewhere on Robidas Island??

I can’t see Soucy deteriorating from arguably being the best d-man defensively (it’s him or Brodin) on the team this season to being a guy they don’t want to protect the following season. Part of the reason for moving Dumba is so they don’t just lose a d-man to Seattle.

Got it...hmmmm
Have to protect DeBrusk (and Coyle LOL). BOS has LD depth in the farm so Grizz likely odd man out.

Ques: Isn't Lauzon exempt (lack of NHL games played)?

He won’t be by the time draft rolls around.

Another reason why Krug is in limbo. They will play hardball on home town discount knowing they have an expansion draft problem with LD.

Also why i have been saying trade Grizz for a RW.
