Blues would accept the Allen piece.

Blues would accept the Allen piece I think.

Yup. Good for both IMO. Allen would be a nice fit in CHI to start maybe 40 games or so

Keith has actually been doing a lot better recently, but if it takes him that long to find his groove again next year thats not a good sign so I do think if we trade strome itll definitely be for LD. On the other side of that, I think if the Hawks get a top 3 pick they go for a winger, because Drysdale is a righty and while you can never have too many righties, we already have Boqvist and Mitchell for the long term there and it would make more sense to draft a winger if we are trading strome, also think in that scenario saad would become expendable and we could gather some more assets for him. Either way, pretty minimalist moves, but if we were going for Allen idk if they would sign him to an extension right away. I think they definitely wanna let Lankinen or Delia get a chance to see some NHL action and see what they have there

Either way though, I wouldnt be mad at all and I think hes gonna be a stud. I cant remember who wrote it but there was an article about the success of Defensive pairings that were 2 lefties, an even pair, and 2 righties, and the pairings that had 2 righties had the most success by far, which definitely intrigued me

Anyway it's better to have too much d-men than too much forwards... d-men carry more value... look what we got for Skjei who's been struggling since 17-18...

I'd rather play Lankinen/Delia/Subban than give the blues a 2nd rounder for the very average choke artist Allen. No thank you.

You can never draft enough defenceman. And besides, you can always move Drysdale to Buffalo the following year.
