    The Devils are not giving up on Zacha. Structurally they cannot trade Severson. All their D prospects play LD. There is nothing in the pipeline at RD. Considering he is under contract for another 3 years after this and producing at a high level they really can't move him without getting another RD back. He is also 26. Kapanen's injury history is scary as well.
