I always fail to see how a 30 point center is worth a top 4 defenseman who puts up more points in his sleep. I'd be asking for Roslovic+ personally, not sure Winnipeg would give us that tho

Copp is a 3rd line player and his production reflects that, the Jets have given him a good long look at 2C this season with top 6 wingers but the production just isn't there. He's a good 3rd line player, is better at center then on the wing and he kills penalties but if he's in your top 6 you're probably not a playoff team.

Why Roslovic?
He’s an average 3rd liner who doesn’t even play center anymore
I don’t indescribably why ppl want this guy?
What do u like about him??
*Risto outscores him too ya know

Still some upside/growth to come from Roslovic though and he has played center recently and did pretty well but of course Maurice couldn't leave well enough alone and broke up the line Roslovic was centering, personally as a Jets fan I'd prefer they keep Roslovic then trade him.

Since u watch the Jets more than me,
and clearly like Roslovic...
what do u think his upside is, as far as role & stats go?

Ristolainen isn't good and points aren't the only way to measure a player.

Tough to say cause of how he's been used since coming to the NHL, seriously it hasn't been a good development path/plan for the kid at the NHL level.
I think he's more of a 2nd line 50 point player but who knows, he has produced more at the 3rd line so maybe he was just benefitting from softer match ups, that said he has the skill to play with higher end players so depending on who he was played with he may do well.

He was doing well playing center at a couple different points this season but Maurice just wouldn't leave him there for whatever reason, it's too bad cause they desperately need more skilled centers, sucks having a coach that still thinks it's the 90s.. Lol

Hmmm....
well, u watch him more than i do,
but i just don’t see 50points kinda skill
Just seems like a decent 3rd liner to me than could possibly move up in the case of injuries

That'd be his max, I think the skill is there I just don't know if he'll ever be able to put it altogether to produce that much, his development was hampered last season by the coach mostly using him 6-8 minutes on the 4th line, such a good draft and develop model the Jets have.. Lol

I think you’re exaggerating a bit

And this year he’s been averaging almost 15min a night & is on pace for 34pts

That’s decent
It’s just not a guy i TARGET in a trade
Especially in the hopes that it’s gonna help fix my top6

Don't think I'm exaggerating, said 50 would be max and I'm not sure he'll ever figure it out, he has been bounced around a bit and often played with some ****ty players like Lowry so tough to judge what he could be.

Oh he's not fixing anyone's top 6, he's a complimentary piece, not a driver by any stretch.

He's young, there should be a bit more growth hopefully, definitely not a major addition that'd fix the Sabres problems up front though.
