From what I've heard from others (scouts and those who watch him), he's an Adam McQuaid with better range and mobility.

How about we wait for this 23 year old to play a professional hockey game before declaring him better than Adam McQuaid at anything.

He has a very good chance of being a 24 year old ECHL'er next season.

It's entry-level and a free agent. Frankly they are all good signings as these are multi-million/billion $$$ corporations and a US$925K deal that could become a "player" is but a drop in the freakin-bucket...

or 3 or however many more.

It's not a bad signing I don't know how you get a bad signing when these guys cost like 60k a year in the AHL on a 2 way deal.
The question is can he stick out. BOS already has some young guys playing LD in the minors.
But he's a boston kind of player, big, kind of a goon, defensive guy.
Word is he's slow though. But hell he's 6'5 wtf you want out of a guy that big. Not many are winning any foot races.

I think it's a solid pick up.

I am one of the "idiots" who voted no.

And as his father - I can confirm that this was a bad signing for Boston.

I can also confirm that this fool hasn't remembered my birthday since middle school.

-Adds depth
-No risk (3rd pair or ECHL, worst-case)
-Defensive D (can replace the departures of some P-Bruins D)

Needs to work on his skating but heard more positive than negative about him
