Parayko is a Top 20 Defenseman in the League some people have argued Top 15, Nylander isn't even in that type of zone, so how is it an overpay?

Because Liljegren isn't just a throw in, he's a really good prospect. It's more than I'd want to give up personally, but I know why Parayko is untouchable

Nylander is an elite player and is on a contract for longer term. Liljegren could become a top 4 dman for us.

Liljegren is pretty good, but this would mean Parayko who could land on your top line is only worth Nylander in your eyes, and finding a top line RHD is very hard to find nowadays.

I know Parayko is worth more than Nylander, I just don't think the Leafs have the prospect to add. Someone a bit less valuable than Liljegren but the Leafs just don't have that guy. Plus, why on earth would St Louis move him, especially with Pietrangelo's future up in the air?

Cause your getting a 30+ goal scorer and possibly a point per game player. Your getting a guy who has a pretty good chance of being a top 4 dman.
