Description

With cap issues coming soon, it would be nice to get any kind of youthful return on some of these guys and build without tanking. I can already predict that NYR fans will tell me to f.o. and they'll just take Shatty as a UFA next offseason...

What is the ideal trade for Shatty from the Rag's side? Any chance that it would happen?

Personally. I would do a Nash (like 1,500,000 retained) and a mid round pick for Shatty...

It's a shame St. Louis has to give up on Shattenkirk due to cap issues. The biggest hurdle is the Stasny contract. If St Loius can trade Stasny to, say Arizona with a high pick, they could afford to sign Shattenkirk to a long term and retain some of their other RFAs too

This is the trade that makes sense. Nash is way too expensive considering stl has rfa's ro re-sign.

I think that trade is bad for St. Louis, Shattenkirk is a stud and I see his value as much higher than that. Blues can get more.
