Asking price for Brodin is probably higher than that. Guerin was asking for a top-6 center at the deadline and even turned down Domi +. Sure Mittelstadt has that potential despite his struggles, but it is believed the ask was a player who was already at that caliber then. Maybe that's changed..

If he was offered Domi+ he probably should of taken it.

Anderson is worth more then Thompson and a former 7th round pick. Thompson is a total bust and can’t even play in the NHL. Send us something we’d actually be interested in or offersheet him. It’s a 2021 2nd as the compensation.

Not really. It would have made the Wild worse. Soucy is injured so MN would lose their best d-man (Brodin) and have a Hunt on the 2nd pair for the rest of the season.

We obviously have different opinions on this, I think Domi would be a good fit for the Wild and you don't.
There's nothing saying that if they did make that trade and moved Brodin that they couldn't of found an upgrade on Hunt in another deal.

Montreal would never trade Domi for Brodin, let alone add on top of him. That is most untrue rumour I've ever seen.

MN wouldn't make the trade, not MTL.

It kinda of defeats the purpose of the trade to have to make another trade to fill the hole you just created. Besides Chucky fills the 3C slot for MN better than Domi would.

Not necessarily if at the time they felt like they could fill a LHD position at a reasonable cost. Domi is better then a 3C and better then Galchenyuk.

Maybe. Chucky fits with the way MN plays, heavy along the walls. That is not Domi's game at all. Domi and Zucc on a line together; which they would be; would get eaten alive in the Central.

Always thought Chucky was the dumbest nickname for Galchenyuk, why not just call him Galch if you don't want to type his whole name, silly Habs fans.. Lol

Anyway, you're the Wild fan, you'd know better then I would, maybe they'll trade for Domi, sign Galchenyuk and put them on the same line... 😃

Okay... have fun with that? Anderson is better then Fast but go look at only points as your measurement.

Well the Habs also had Gallagher at the same time, so the nicknames needed to be different.

MN has too many wings already. No need for both Chucky and Domi with one of them playing wing. Also Chucky will probably cost $3m less than Domi next season. I don't see Chucky having a line of GMs at his door holding fistfuls of cash.

Really I don't want either of Chucky/Domi long term. The same goes for Haula' who I like better than the other two. Signing any of them for longer than 2 years is too much for me.
