Skinner is not a nhl caliber goalie. Best goalie the oilers have is Rodrigue and he’s a couple of seasons away
Some dumb team is gonna pay granlund 5x5

Also Granlund does NOT play center.
Petan is not a NHL player, he is AHL caliber and thats it.
Skinner not ready and never will be
Broberg is playing in Sweden next year and is at least 2 to 4 years away

Aberg is not good enough to make this team anymore
The first line is in trouble if we are going into a whole season like that.

I would love for Yamamoto to be worth that much. What would it take - 30+ goals and 70+ points?

I think so, where do you see finishing in terms of points and goals in the next few seasons?

Grandlund played a decent amount of second line centre throughout his career so, i think he can fit in at 3C which is why I put him there.
You clearly haven't watched Petan and Aberg play in the last few years. They're both bottom 6 NHL caliber players but they just haven't had the right opportunity.
Skinner was a filler to make the cap compliant however, I think they can still make this team fit under the cap.
Keep in mind this is 2 years from now so, I think Broberg would be ready by then.

And you're worried about the first line? McDavid was on pace to hit 100 points while playing with Zack Kassian (a 4th line winger on most teams) for a lot of the year so, I wouldn't be too worried about that line producing. They would also have options to shift the lineup around

Fair point, I was using skinner as a filler to fit under the cap but i think they could make it work anyways.

I agree with you on the Grandlund part but, I think he would be a good option on the right deal if possible.

Granllund has not played cneter in 5 years. He had 150 draws and was 6th on his team. Johansen had over 1000 draws. Petan, Aberg lol those are AHL players. Aberg was on the Oilers and he sucked. Petan not one NHL team wanted him when he was on waivers, he is 25 years old already and will be playing beer league hockey in the next 2 years. Broberg is going back to Sweden for another year according to Holland, than a year or 2 in the AHL, maybe more if Holland does what he does.
Granlund is a player who I would go after if I am Oilers for my 3rd line, just not as a Centerman, I would go after Soderberg or Haula

Aberg hasn't played on the oilers in 3 years so, you should probably watch him a little more. Himself and Petan (Best ppg in AHL) are probably 2 of the top forwards in the AHL which isn't something to take lightly. Most execs say the difference between the bottom 6 forwards in the NHL and top forwards in the AHL isn't much. Toss Petan on McDavid's line and his probably putting up close to 40-50 points.

You are looking in to the lines a little too much. You can shift Grandlund around the lineup but, I don't think he'd have trouble playing 3C the odd time - they already have McDavid. Drisital and Hopkins so, they really don't even need a centre. I thought he could bring some extra value in case of injuries.

Wasn't too sure where Broberg was in his development but thats good to know. I was a little high on him I guess.
