Flames fan here. I like the idea of this deal. My only question is around what you think DeAngelo might cost to re-sign this summer. Hanifin at 4.95M for four more years is a pretty good contract. Other than that I like getting a RHD as the Flames are a bit overloaded at LHD and won't have much on the right side. Looking forward to discussing!

Pretty good. CGY would want more due to the nature of Hanifin's deal. Contracts this good don't come easily. Hanifin is the better defenseman here too, so NYR should be adding, not CGY.

many ranger fans on this site are predicting anywhere btwn 4-5 mill on a short term deal and 5-6 on a long term deal. i predict something like 5.5 mill on a 4-5 year deal.
