They would be better off getting some assets fro dermott and running a 22 man roster. Holl is good in the top 4 and liljegren is a good 6th defenseman. Honka and liljegren can platoon as the 6th defensemen

Holl’s stats are pretty good, above average for sure. No doubt he is a top 4.

He is. He was a good 1st pairing defenseman this season. He will be an even better 2nd pairing defenseman

yep if u look at the defensive numbers holl and muzzin has very good defensive numbers between the 2 of them. Holl struggled a bit but lets face it 2 of the leafs best defense man were injured which left Dermott-Holl as the top defensive pairing. In no world is that a top pairing. Maybe if dermott was older and had significantly more experience.

dermott wont work. He is a LD and is not that good on his off side. Our left side is locked with 3 excellent players so there is no room for him there. Dermott should go for an actual RD. Holl is fine, and sure muzzin does most of the work but thats what he always did. But he is okay with that, he loves mentoring the youngsters and honestly with the improvment I see in Holl and the numbers those 2 produce I would rather keep him.
