Description
Stalock and Hunt are two of the very best bang-for-your-buck contracts in the game. For that reason alone, I highly covet both of them. The Gourde and Mikheyev deals are the same as from my prior posts.

Seems like an overpayment for Stalock and Hunt. Al is a fine tender, but I don't think he can keep up his play long-term. That being said he's too important to trade unless we get a clear upgrade.

That $785K AAV deal for 2 years is absolutely insane value relative to performance. Same with Hunt at only $700K. That aspect alone is worth a 1st on the market.

So in three years, MIN will have our first rounder + possibly Fleury while we'll have nothing. These are the trades that make you wonder what management was thinking at the time. While the contracts have good value, they're not worth a first round pick.

Wild have no choice but to except but as a Wild fan I doubt canes offer all that. I also agree bang for buck Stalock and Hunt are tough to beat.

I would be pleasantly surprised if we only needed 2nd rounders to get Stalock and Hunt, specifically because of how team-friendly their deals are. It would IMO be like the Goodrow deal on steroids and the ultimate under-the-radar acquisition. Stalock alone would unlock multiple millions in cap space that originally went to goalies and could go directly into Hamilton, Svech, and multiple middle-six guys up front in the short/medium-term.

I can't say your wrong and they probably are undervalued by us Wild fans. Probably because of how much they keep the team under the cap we don't even know what a luxury they are.
